Dee Gold has been teaching hatha yoga for more than 25 years. Her love of creative movement grew out of her modern dance training. After studying psychology in college, she earned a Masters Degree in dance-movement therapy.

Dee teaches yoga in the Washington, DC area at her studio, Inner Reaches Yoga & Health in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Her yoga retreats and stress management seminars have become legendary in the famously workaholic capital, and her clients include business executives, journalists, lobbyists, medical professionals, nonprofit groups, sports professionals, counselors, educators, teenagers, parents and the elderly.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO STAND ON YOUR HEAD was inspired by Dee’s often stressed and overworked students, who urged her to share her unique approach by showing how individuals can joyfully and playfully explore their minds, bodies and spirits. She seeks to encourage a creative practice of yoga that students can easily take into the world outside the yoga studio.

The mother of two adult children, Dee lives in North Potomac, Maryland.
